Welcome to my fanfiction website. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I've enjoyed writing them.
I've always been a voracious reader, even as a child. My first attempts at writing were at a very young age, the stories filled with cliches that sent my mother and sister into gales of laughter. What does a 10-year old city girl who's only ridden a horse once know about life on the plains? A better question, why is a 10-year old writing about a young couple eloping? Hey, it was a start.
I went on to writing parodies in junior high, including "All my Children in General Hospital as the World Turns in the Days of Our Lives." Too bad I have no examples of my early writings; maybe I'm better off if no one ever sees them.
I dabbled in fanfiction prior to writing NCIS stories. I think one of my Highlander stories is floating out in the ether somewhere, I've been too afraid to try to find it. I wrote a Forever Knight story for a friend's fanzine, but don't think I ever submitted it to her. I have three short Due South snippets that I may include on this site. I didn't start writing for NCIS until September 2005. I was in a rather dark place, emotionally, and my creative juices started to flow. The majority of my stories seem to be hurt/comfort, but I have some funny stories too. I have two particularly dark pieces that were writing exercises, to see how far I could go. I found that while I'm technically able to write graphic violence I'm unwilling to do so, preferring to leave the details to the reader's imagination. Sometimes the reader is much more creative than I am in that way.
I would love to hear what you think of my stories. They're listed in chronological order, hopefully you'll notice an improvement.
Heartfelt thanks go out to Greylin, who designed this site for me and patiently responded to panicked e-mails when I screwed things up. Greylin has been a good friend over the years, and I'm truly grateful to have gotten the chance to know her. Thanks go out to my ever-patient beta, Rinne, who corrects my punctuation and never scolds me for making the same mistakes over and over. Finally, thanks to the readers on ff.net, WWoMB and the NCIS Fanfiction Archives for their wonderful and supportive reviews.
